How to manually adjust convergence on hitachi

I have recently acquired a 51 inch Hitachi rear projection tv of which i had to replace the convergence chips, after replacing the tv works great, sometimes, it will slip out of convergence and look blurry for a short period of time then switch back, and look great for a short period of time.  · You have to press MUTE to return to convergence pattern, and after confirming convergence press PIP MODE and then PIP CH to initialize Magic Focus. This will take about 30 seconds. When the green dots appear, turn the power .  · Hitachi - DCAM Mode Convergence. (1) Receive any NTSC signal. (2) Start adjustment at the center of the screen. (3) Continue adjustment at next closest position. (4) Adjust center area first, ending with edge sections. (5) Press VID3 button to perform calculation operation. This process will take.

I am working on a 53" Hitachi Projection TV with a slight convergence problem. It is ok on the horizontal lines in test mode but the verticle lines near the edges are bowed in. I found the "service switch " that puts it into a test mode for convergence adjustments but I don't know how to bring up the mode to adjust it. Is it on. Several months ago I successfully completed the convergence repair on my Hitachi 51FA. I did the grid adjustments to correct the convergence to an acceptable level without using a template (by eye). One thing that has remained however is the picture is too wide and I don't know how to adjust. manual and other related manuals. Enter the "Convergence" menu (when available through the front panel buttons) and follow the on-screen prompts for performing the manual convergence adjustment, which involves selecting a point on the screen and using the channel and volume keys to move the red and/or blue cursor at that point to align it with the green cursor, at which point it will then be shown as white. Need Help with my Hitachi 51SWX20B. I was doing the Manual Convergence, did the data write to ROM, saw the green dots. Pressed the MUTE button to return to the convergence pattern to see if it is acceptable and everything was out of whack, tried adjusting the lines again and then pressed PIP Mode and turned off TV.
